Negroamaro

Negroamaro

Red Wines

It is one of the most well-known grape varieties from Apulia; the name “Negro Amaro” or “Negroamaro” refers to its distinctive characteristics, namely the dark color of the grapes and the slight bitter aftertaste.

On the nose, the intense aroma of plum and olive notes stands out; the finish is balsamic and spicy, with scents of pepper and licorice that recall the Mediterranean scrub.

It is a velvety and full-bodied red wine that pairs well with hearty first courses, meats in general, and aged cheeses.

The Cathedral of Ostuni

LApulia is home to the stunning Cathedral of Ostuni, dedicated to the Assumption of Mary, one of the most captivating architectural jewels of the region.

This cathedral, declared a national monument in 1902, dates back to the 15th century and is an extraordinary example of Gothic-Romanesque style, with Renaissance details that enrich its facade.

Located in the heart of the “White City,” the cathedral dominates the ancient town with its imposing rose window, one of the largest in Italy, symbolizing divine perfection and making this building a place of rare beauty and spirituality.

“Red like the land it comes from, spicy like the aromas of Mediterranean cuisine, hot like the local folk dances, Negroamaro is the wine that carries Apulia in its heart.”
