HOW TEATRO LATINO WAS BORN
Wine is a Story
How many times, while on vacation, have you bought a bottle of wine to relive its taste in the peace of your home?
And how many times, thanks to that bottle, have you been transported back in mind and heart to that square, at that sea, immersed in the light of the place where you first discovered that wine, perhaps with friends by your side?
I imagine, many times.
It’s the same for me, with every trip. Again and again.
And it has been the same for many of the people I have met at my work.
About me
I am Leonardo, and for more than twenty years, together with my team, I have been dedicated to promoting Italian wine around the world. It is my passion.
In 2014, by creating Teatro Latino, I decided to give shape to what I believe is the truest nature of wine – one that goes beyond technicalities and tasting notes to touch our emotions.
The project “Teatro Latino”
Teatro Latino is a selection of Italian wines with two clear purposes: to bring us back to the beauty of vacation destinations (or invite us to discover them) and to remind us that life – and thus joy – exists in the ‘here and now’.
Each Teatro Latino wine, with its unique aromas and symbols, is like an actor bringing its land to life. It is Sicily enchanting us with the beauty of Persephone, Abruzzo dancing with the Lady of Scanno. It is that summer when we stayed in a Trullo in Alberobello, or a table set for “a quick pasta dish”; because what truly counts is the company and the feeling of simple joy still alive in the Italian piazzas.

Naturally, it’s about maintaining consistent quality across all the regions we represent.
To bring this project to life, I continuously rely on the support of partners who handle all the technical aspects for us.
I select the types of wine and define the style: welcoming, approachable, and appealing. Our wines are meant to invite, not intimidate.
