Persephone
Persephone, the Greek goddess of the underworld and spring, is a central figure in mythology associated with the seasonal cycles.
According to the myth, Hades abducted her and took her to the realm of the dead, causing her mother, Demeter – the goddess of agriculture – to grieve and let the earth wither. Thanks to Zeus’s intervention, Persephone spends six months with Hades and six months with Demeter. When she returns to the surface, nature bloomed again, bringing a mild and lush climate.
The legend ties Sicily’s Mediterranean climate to Persephone’s annual return, a symbol of rebirth and fertility.

“Orange blossoms, fragrant dried apricots, fresh citrus fruits, salty sea. The aromatic finish echoes with the unique nature of Sicilian summers.”
